Rugby FM is the market leading radio station in Rugby. We are initially offering a full time fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. However, our ambitious development plans mean that, for the right candidate, this position could convert to a full time career within the exciting field of commercial radio. We are looking for a self-motivated, outgoing, well-organised person to join our team selling airtime, sponsorship and promotions packages to local businesses. Previous experience of face to face sales would be advantageous but is not essential. In return you will receive full product training, a basic salary and generous commission package. You will be responsible for running the news desk and delivering bulletins both on television and radio, including our extended radio news programmes; at other times you will be out in the patch collecting audio and video reports; there’s also the opportunity for more in depth research putting together Passion’s monthly campaign weeks on a varied array of subjects; you may even take a leading role in our weekly two hour discussion programme.
