Basingstoke ObserverThe Basingstoke Observer was established in 2000 as a high quality free weekly newspaper for the Basingstoke and North Hampshire area working in conjunction with North Hampshire’s Kestrel FM. The paper is a 'pick-up' from supermarkets and other public outlets in and around Basingstoke, following the American model which is now taking off in a number of parts of the UK. Basingstoke Property Weekly is inserted as a free supplement each week with the Basingstoke Observer.

Kestrel FM broadcasts to the Basingstoke area of North Hampshire with a community orientated music and information service. The station launched in 1998 and has recorded an excellent audience reach and strong brand loyalty in the area.

In April 2004 Milestone acquired the Local Television licence forSouthampton previously held by Southampton Television Limited. The channel -now rebranded as SIX TV - broadcasts a mix of local information andentertainment 24 hours a day including adaptions of successful formatsdeveloped by SIX TV in Oxfordshire such as the 'Passion TV' music programmestrand. SIX TV reaches a potential audience of 360,000 in and around thecity of Southampton.
